The Difference Between The Internet And The World Wide Web

The Internet

The internet is just a wire, it is used by many computers everyday to access lots and lots of information, all of this information is held in servers that are also connected to this wire, the internet. It also allows communication between computers and devices. But computers aren't directly connected to the internet, they are connected first to an internet service provider or ISP. This is all explained in more detail in the video below.

The World Wide Web

The world wide web is a collection of hypertext that hold information, basically they are websites that can be connected to via the internet. 

The Difference

So now in conclusion the difference between the internet and the world wide web is, the internet is a wire that is used for connection to the world wide web and the world wide web is a list of hypertext or websites that hold information. Also the world wide web cannot exist without the internet but the internet can exist without world wide web.
